The Montessori Institute of Denmark started in February 2014 to spread the knowledge about Montessori and to allow people to become qualified in the Montessori method.

Sandra “Dinny” Rebild is the Chairperson of the Danish Montessori Society and she has been involved in the Montessori world for the past 40 years. She is an AMI Montessori teacher and in 1990, she founded The Little Montessori School in Lyngby, Denmark. Dinny has also worked with refugee children at risk at the Red Cross Centre Kongelund, Denmark, using the Montessori method.
Isabelle Valentine is the owner and manager of Montessori International Preschool in Valby, Denmark, which opened in August 2011. She also manages the new Montessori preschool in Frederiksberg, which opened in October 2014. She is dedicated to spreading the Montessori philosophy throughout Denmark.
Both Dinny and Isabelle co-manage The Montessori Institute of Denmark.
The AMI Primary Course has been approved and certified by Association Montessori Internationale (AMI).
